INSTITUCIONAL
The Floriano Peçanha dos Santos Institute (IFPS) was created in 2015 by a group of people who have been working in the Third Sector for over 18 years. They started their activities with a Day Care in Pedra de Guaratiba, whose socio-educational and cultural work has become a local reference. Currently, he develops socio-cultural and sports projects with children and adolescents from impoverished communities. These projects aim to interrupt the cycle of violence to which these children are subjected.

OUR STORY
1995
The Floriano Peçanha dos Santos Institute (IFPS) has as its foundation the philanthropic actions of the entrepreneur Floriano Peçanha dos Santos who, during his life, supported several social entities and projects, such as Ação Comunitária do Brasil, PROMATRE, Blind Institution Helen Keller among others .
In 1995, he became co-founder, with Mr. Sergio Pacheco dos Santos, of the then defunct Creche Tio Beto, located in Pedra de Guaratiba, later called Centro Socioeducacional Roberto Campanella - CSRC .
The socio-educational and cultural work, aimed at children, adolescents and their families from impoverished communities, became a reference for the locality of Pedra de Guaratiba, demanding the diversification of the projects offered and the constitution of a staff that could guide and monitor administrative-financial management, in addition to mobilizing resources paving the way for the institution's sustainability.
2015
With the professional maturation acquired through 22 years of experience in social project management and the emergence of new claims for institutional support, IFPS was founded as a non-profit association on August 28, 2015 and formalized in January 2016.
2016
That same year, our mission to strengthen the dissemination of the Culture of Peace among impoverished populations, through socio-educational and cultural actions, which empower them to make positive changes in their reality, surpassed the limits of the west side of the city and embraced the Center Sociocultural Lectícia Fonseca (CSLF) , located in Engenho Novo, north of Rio de Janeiro. Both areas suffer from a lack of basic assistance and the ever-present violence.
2020
O IFPS recebeu o Selo de Direitos Humanos 1ª Edição 2020, uma certificação promovida pela Prefeitura do Rio, através da Secretaria Municipal de Assistência Social e Direitos Humanos - SUBDH RIO, em reconhecimento pela "Atuação do Centro Sociocultural Lectícia Fonseca - CSLF frente aos efeitos socioeconômicos da pandemia".
2021
Após 6 anos de trabalho, temos a satisfação de continuar a ser um ponto de referência para as crianças, adolescentes e suas famílias e iniciar um novo caminho com o desenvolvimento de uma metodologia própria que trará ainda mais impacto: a metodologia SuperAções, com o objetivo de potencializar o desenvolvimento integral dos indivíduos, para minimizar a desigualdade social, superando as vulnerabilidades e transformando histórias através do seu protagonismo, apoiada em quatro (04) pilares de desenvolvimento: Aprendizagem, Cultura, Proteção Social e Psicossocial.
